Looks like it was a good game. Good report IDIC.Couple things I noticed:You can't shoot a drop pod on the turn it Deep Strikes in, as it counts as moving at cruising speed.You can't use Star Engines the turn you embark or disembark anything.
Yes we picked up the drop pod can't shoot the S5 gun on the turn it arrives after the game. As for the Star Engines, what you say is feasible, but my local GW says that as it is not an official 'movement' phase move I can do it, but I can't claim any cover saves for moving over 12"?So on a side note, should you count the Star Engine move towards how far you move that turn?
Page 44 Champ."It may move an additional 12" in lieu of shooting, but troops may not embark or disembark that turn."You would technically not count it towards how far you moved. As far as I know, for everything related to vehicles, it's not how far you moved overall, it's how far you moved in the movement phase. So technically, if you moved 12" and Star Engine another 12", you wouldn't get a cover save. And if you moved 6" then Star Engine'd 12", you'd still be hit on 4's when you're assaulted, which I think is messed up.
